Ceres Property is pleased to announce the appointment of a new partner, Sam Skinner, who will work within its Development Team, further strengthening the firm’s strategic land and development capabilities across the Midlands and beyond.

A professional member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) since 2013, Sam brings nearly 20 years’ experience in the property sector. Raised on a mixed farm in Northamptonshire, he has a longstanding connection to the agricultural community, underpinning his deep understanding of landowners’ requirements and long-term objectives.

Sam specialises in advising landowners on strategic land opportunities, with expertise in industrial and logistics development, large-scale residential schemes, and broader professional consultancy. His portfolio includes involvement in several significant UK projects, such as:

  • Former Stewartby Brickworks, Bedfordshire – acquisition of the site with outline planning consent for 1,000 homes, neighbouring the proposed Universal Studios development.
  • Ironbridge Power Station Redevelopment – disposal of serviced development parcels forming part of the major regeneration project.
  • Midlands Residential Schemes – contribution to sites capable of delivering more than 10,000 new homes across the region.
  • Prime Industrial Land Advisory – advising landowners on over 2,000 acres along the A14 and M1 corridors, with potential for around 14 million sq ft of development, subject to planning.

Commenting on the appointment, Sam Skinner said:

“I am pleased to be joining Ceres Property at such an exciting stage of the business’s growth. The team’s reputation for delivering clear, commercially grounded advice aligns perfectly with my own approach to working with clients. I look forward to supporting the continued expansion of our strategic land offering across the Midlands.”

Sam works with a wide range of clients including landowners, developers, institutions, estates, trusts, investors and land promoters. Prior to joining Ceres Property, he was a Partner at Newmark (formerly Gerald Eve).

Iain Halls, Managing Partner at Ceres Property, added:

“We are delighted to welcome Sam to our business. He joins at a pivotal moment in our growth as we broaden our full-service offering and prepare to open our new office in Northamptonshire. Sam’s experience, agricultural background and professional insight will be instrumental in strengthening our presence across the Midlands.”
